Europe’s new, exciting and most complex cultural quarter is now being constructed in Budapest, and every Hungarian can be proud of it. The Liget Budapest Project is presently the largest urban development initiative on the continent with a multiple award-winning cultural content, which includes the renewal of the green areas and recreational functions of the City Park, as well as the expansion and development of its centuries-old institutional system. Thanks to the Liget Budapest Project, the City Park – a cultural quarter with a history going back over 150 years but now renewed and expanded to accord with 21st -century requirements – will be a prominent place and tourist destination in Budapest on the European cultural map.

Event venues and the reservation of public spaces
The Liget Budapest Project welcomes professional partners who wish to organise indoor and/or outdoor events in the park.
In the institutions established and run within the framework of the Liget Budapest Project, there are over 15 event venues of various capacities and features available at the following institutions:
- House of the Hungarian Millennium
- House of Music Hungary
- Building “C” of OMRRK
- Museum of Ethnography
In addition, the Museum Underground Parking is also available for special events on occasion.

The park and institutions renewed within the framework of the Liget Budapest Project have already attracted over seven million visitors in the last three years. The City Park has served as the venue for sports, cultural and family events as well as festivals. The institutions established and revamped as part of the Liget Budapest Project have hosted over 100 professional and public events, concerts, conferences and festivals.
Use of the Museum Underground Parking
The underground car par has a capacity for 800 vehicles on three levels, of which 751 are general parking spaces, 17 are wheelchair accessible, 24 are equipped with EV chargers and 71 are suitable for motorcycles. Reflecting the centuries-old ties between the City Park and the arts and constituting a unique feature in Europe, the interiors of the Museum Underground Parking facility are decorated with reproductions of masterpieces by 12 outstanding Hungarian masters from the collection of the National Gallery.
Our business partners can benefit from various pass options and parking discount ticket packages in a limited number, making parking easier for visitors when coming to the City Park for conferences, exhibitions and other events.
Services for visitors: guided walks in the City Park (organised/individual)
The Liget Budapest Project offers guided walks in the City Park for people who wish to learn more about the park and its development projects. On these walks, participants can visit the following:
- House of the Hungarian Millennium and the Zsolnay heritage
- House of Music Hungary
- Museum of Ethnography
Walks can be booked for both individuals or groups, and in foreign languages (English, German) upon request.

Services for visitors: electric buses
The Liget Budapest’s electric buses seating 12 people make it easy to get around the City Park, whether for an organised group drive or just for reaching specific destinations. Our partners can utilise bus park history walks and transportation can be arranged for groups within the park according to individual needs.
