Museum of Ethnography
The Museum of Ethnography's new temporary exhibition open from 30 September 2026 to 29 August 2027, titled A Soldier's Lot – Remembering Compulsory Military Service, explores the memory of compulsory military service in Hungary .

The exhibition covering more than 3,000 square metres features almost 3,600 artefacts in 8 thematic units. The creation of a new exhibition of Hungarian and international themes covering an area three times the size of the Kossuth Square building had an impact on the Museum’s public spaces, offering various novelties and services to enhance visitor experience.
Gauguin exhibition to open in The Museum of Fine Arts
Paul Gauguin is coming to Budapest: between October 2026 and February 2027 a fantastic exhibition will open in the City Park titled Bonjour Monsieur Gauguin: The Circle of Post-Impressionists and Symbolists. Visitors to the exhibition can follow the artist’s search for a direction, as well as the intellectual and artistic developments at the end of the 19th century that led to the foundations of modernity in art.
An exhibition of the statue of Archangel Gabriel opened in the City Park
After 120 years, Archangel Gabriel, the iconic figure of the Millennial Monument has been temporarily removed for a comprehensive restoration. Learn more about the iconic figure of Heroes' Square and visit us to admire her life-size figure at the newly opened, free exhibition "The Guardian Angel of Hungary. The Statue of Gabriel on Heroes' Square" at the City Park Visitor Centre.
