The exhibition in the Ionic Hall of the Museum of Fine Arts is the first in Hungary dedicated to ancient Mesopotamia. One of the outstanding strengths of our exhibition is that it brings together more than 150 objects loaned by seven prominent European collections, offering unparalleled insight into the world of this long-lost culture.

The Museum of Ethnography and the Liget Budapest Visitor Center is temporarily closed
The Museum of Ethnography will soon welcome you with a new permanent collection exhibition, which affects the public areas of the museum and the Liget Budapest Visitor Center as well, so the museum will be closed for the summer months in order to welcome visitors with the new exhibition and renovated spaces in early autumn. During this time, the building’s rooftop garden, conference room, and restaurant will remain open to visitors.
